Join us at Up North Press on Friday, November 13, from 5–8 PM for Jake Salzman’s Creative Celebration! ✨

Jake works primarily in oil and charcoal, exploring portraiture and abstraction through both painting and drawing. His practice moves between capturing the human form and experimenting with abstract expression, sometimes bringing both approaches together in a single piece.

During his residency, Jake will continue developing his portraiture practice, spending more time studying human anatomy while making space for the abstract painting that remains an essential part of his process.

Come celebrate Jake, experience his work, and spend an evening connecting through art and community. We can’t wait to share what he’s been creating!
